Life at runZero

Let's build something great together — from our products to our culture.

We're a team of dreamers and creative thinkers who aren't afraid to shake up the status quo and find new solutions to old problems. We believe in the power of collaboration and working together to achieve big goals.

Our team includes both cybersecurity startup veterans and people who are new to our industry. We're united by a shared passion to build a great organization with a culture we're proud of, as well as great products that our customers love.

While we are headquartered in sunny Austin, Texas, we're 100% remote, enabling us to work with the best talent in the industry, wherever they may be in the USA.

We call ourselves Yetis after our sub-zero hero mascot, Zeti. If Yeti life sounds like a fit for you, we encourage you to explore our open roles!

Interviewing at runZero

We value your time and see the interview process as a critical two-way street, allowing us to assess your skills, strengths, and cultural fit while simultaneously providing you with a clear understanding of our company, our ways of working, and the expectations specific to the role you’re seeking. To this end, our interview process incorporates a combination of:

  • Initial one-on-one interviews with a recruiter and manager
  • Panel interviews with the team
  • Candidate challenge - a role-specific challenge designed for you to showcase your strengths and allow us to assess your skills in a hands-on exercise
  • A final interview, conducted either remotely or in person if we haven't yet met face-to-face in previous rounds

runZero participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to confirm the employment eligibility of all individuals hired to work in the United States. As part of this process, we provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization. The Yeti Code

At runZero, our culture isn’t a set of posters; it’s the operating system for how we work and grow. We lean into the challenge of complex problems, lead with empathy, and optimize for long-term sustainability over short-term hype. This is how we build what’s next: together.

We are Curious, Caring, and Creative Catalysts of Change.

We stay CURIOUS
Innovation is curiosity in motion. We are relentless explorers who turn curiosity into a competitive advantage, navigating the unknown and embracing the unfamiliar to find better ways to solve persistent problems. Curiosity ensures we never stop learning from the customers we support, the problems we solve, and from each other, and fuels us to push the boundaries of what's possible.
We CARE deeply
We don’t just build software; we care deeply about making a positive impact. We take ownership of our customers’ challenges as if they were our own, ensuring every line of code and every decision makes life tangibly better. By leading with empathy and acting with integrity, we show up for our teammates and partners with the same fierce dedication we bring to our products.
We are CREATIVE

We believe there is always a way, even when the path isn't clear. Creativity enables us to turn constraints into breakthroughs and transform "it can’t be done" into "here is how we did it." We don't accept the status quo; we embrace diverse perspectives and foster creative, revolutionary thinking to connect unexpected dots and craft elegant, innovative solutions to complex problems.

We are CATALYSTS
We don’t wait for change; we’re the ones who spark it. We are the change-makers who bridge the gap between a great idea and a finished reality. Whether it’s a new feature or a better internal process, being a catalyst means turning "what if" into "what’s next." We drive progress with urgency and intent, empowering every Yeti to take ownership and ensure our actions move the needle for the people relying on us.
