Uncovering the invisible: meet runZero at DoDIIS

|
Updated

Howdy there folks! Did you know that DoDIIS is returning this year (after a brief hiatus in 2025) to Tampa, Florida? Well, runZero is excited to be attending, and if you’re willing to brave the Florida weather in August (don’t forget your sunscreen!), we would love it if you stopped by booth 1237 to hang with us. We, of course, are going to have all the awesome swag that folks have come to know us for, a fun booth game for anyone who likes to solve puzzles, but most importantly: a solution to all of your problems.

Assessments made simple #

Ok, maybe we can’t solve all of your problems, but if you have ever been assessed, or needed to assess another agency, organization, or network, you should look no further than runZero.

On average, 1-in-4 enterprise assets* are invisible to conventional security tech stacks, and thus invisible to you. How can you protect the things you don’t even know you have? How do you defend against insider threats, nation-state actors, or even the dreaded security audit, if you can’t accurately account for everything on your network? This is where visibility comes into view, and runZero is here to solve this problem for you and your team.

runZero excels at being able to quickly find every asset, tell you with a high degree of fidelity what it is (it doesn't help to have a tool tell you a device is there, but not what it is), and then surface meaningful risks and exposures that traditional security tools routinely miss. Did I mention this is all through uncredentialed means, without a need for API plugins, connectors, or adapters?

Don’t misunderstand, it’s important (and legally required for federal agencies, looking at you FISMA) to do credentialed scans. Ingestion of assets and asset related information through API’s? There can definitely be some value there, but what if you’re up against the clock to get an assessment done? You don’t have credentials for devices, let alone time to figure out all of the possible API’s you need keys for. Don’t look now, but I think I heard someone say….CORA! Run for the hills!

runZero: The faster way to assess #

But really, assessments, whether you're conducting one against networks within your purview or on your own network, can be a daunting task. runZero is the solution you’ve been missing in your arsenal. Our unauthenticated scanning, passive, and API integrations can help assessors (or assessees) quickly and effectively discover every asset.

To learn more about how we can help you with your next assessment, BOD or ED compliance, stop our booth at DoDiiS, #1237. And, stay tuned for a soon-to-be-released white paper that provides a deep dive into the challenges faced by DoD and NSS organizations and how runZero can address these challenges better than any other solution.

See you in Tampa!

**(Note: Assets means IP connected devices; computers, cameras, printers, etc.)
