Q&A #
► Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.
I'm super proud of collaborating with both our team and customers to help pave the way for successful customer journeys; it has honestly been a really unique experience. Prior to joining runZero, I had some sales experience, but I had not actually been an account manager before, so I had a little impostor syndrome. I’m very grateful the team took a chance on me, and thankfully, it's worked out! When I first joined, I was the only one managing all of runZero’s accounts, which was a lot but also a really good learning experience as I was able to hone in on my organizational and prioritization skills.
In the past 3 years, I've learned and grown so much by connecting with coworkers who offer different perspectives. I’ve loved getting to help build processes early on and having an opinion that people listen to and value. It’s a super collaborative environment, and I really love the way our team treats you with grace while offering help and learnings in a very friendly way.

â–ş Which company values resonate with you the most?
I’d say mindful growth! I’m constantly focused on learning new skills and not being stagnant, and that applies to all areas of my life. This trait has been instilled in me from a really young age through my family, but I also think I was born competitive. As I'm still a bit early in my career, having an organization that has been focused on mindful growth has been crucial to my professional development, and I’ve had lots of opportunities to try new things here.
runZero has really been a huge supporter of my growth. I've had mentors who have helped coach me, teammates who have offered shadowing sessions, and helpful feedback from leadership as well. So, across the board, people are always willing to coach you and provide feedback, which is super valuable to me. I feel very grateful to have numerous people in my corner who have been rooting for my success here.

â–ş What's the best customer interaction you've had, and why?
I can't necessarily point to one specific customer interaction because there have been so many great ones. I love working with our customers and feel that I've built fantastic relationships with so many of them. Similar to our employees, many of our customers are very genuine and pleasant people to work with, which makes my role extremely enjoyable.
Since the majority of my day-to-day is spent meeting with customers, it's been really cool to see real relationships grow with them. I got married last year, and I had a lot of customers reach out after my time away to congratulate me! We share things about our personal lives, and they don't have to do that. They're working with so many vendors, but it feels very refreshing that our customers are willing to put in time to get to know me or just connect on a human level. Little exchanges like this are meaningful to me and make me happy to be in this career.

► What’s something on your bucket list?
I want to go on the show Survivor. I've watched it since I was a kid, and I've always envisioned myself going on to compete. Whenever I watch the physical challenges, I think I want to try that; it looks so exciting to me! Also, all the relationships you build and all the scheming and planning would be an exciting challenge.
I feel like Survivor is one of the few reality shows that’s genuine because it's predominantly unscripted. It's just you at your worst, doing island life. I've actually applied a couple of times, but contestants say sometimes it takes over 20 applications to get selected. I'm gonna keep trying!
